In this blog, we focus on an important topic to provide more clarity: the different shields within the Elleebana collection and their unique properties.
Elleebana Flex Rods
These original shields have been a trusted foundation within the Elleebana Lash Lift range for years and have become an indispensable tool in many salons. Originally introduced as simple orange rods, they have now evolved into anatomically shaped shields made of super-soft silicone material, which (in most cases) do not require adhesive on the underside.
Thanks to their anatomical shape, they are easy to place around the eye, which significantly facilitates application. Are you still working with the older, basic rods? Then it's definitely time to switch to the Flex Rods!
As you probably know, shields are essential for a successful lash lift. The natural position of the eyelashes is shaped by the form of the chosen shield.
The Flex Rods fall into the category of round shields and create a beautiful C-curl.
Elleebana Flex Shields
This impressive addition to the Elleebana shield assortment has been available for some time now and represents the second evolution within their shield line. They were originally introduced as a firmer variant under the name Elleebana Extreme Shields. If you're looking for these, you're now looking at the updated Elleebana Flex Shields.
The Extreme Shields have been replaced by these Flex Shields, which are now made of ultra-soft silicone and are anatomically shaped. Just like the Flex Rods, these shields fit perfectly around the eye, and adhesive on the underside is often not necessary.
The Flex Shields do not fall under one specific shape, as the curvature changes with each size. However, all sizes provide a lift with an L-curl. Unlike many other L-curl shields, the larger sizes – due to their extra height – are also very suitable for lifting longer lashes.
Visualizing the shield's influence
To choose the right shield, it's important to understand how lashes are lifted. To illustrate this, we've cut the shields in half to reveal their exact shape. This allows you to better visualize how the lashes will look after the treatment, based on the shield's curvature.

Ultra-soft silicone material:
The flexibility ensures that the shields are easy to place on the eye. They stay in place well and don't come loose in the corners of the eye, which significantly shortens treatment time.
No adhesive needed on the underside:
Because you don't have to use adhesive under the shields, you save time and reduce the risk of eyelid irritation. Cleaning after the treatment is also easier, as no adhesive residue is left behind.
Effortless adhesion:
Thanks to the soft silicone material, lashes adhere better to the shields, both when using glue balm and traditional adhesive.
